Warning After Rural Watch Scam

Tenbury Police have issued an urgent warning to rural communities across South Worcestershire after

scam calls were received at two Tenbury farms.

Officers received a call on August 6th reporting a farm in Broadheath being contacted by a Community

Support Officer (CSO) ‘working for Farmwatch’. The farm was called a total of 3 times over 2 days and

asked for £300 to place ‘an advert’.

A second incident was reported on the same day from a farm in Hanley Childe. A male caller rang the

farm at 10:05hrs claiming to be from West Mercia Police Farmwatch but put the phone down when told

the person they asked for was not available..................
