Following local Government re-organisation in 1974

Tenbury Rural District Council became Tenbury Town Council.

 

The Town Council consists of thirteen members. Eleven members represent Tenbury Town and two members represent St Michael's.(Register and Log in to see councillors details)

 

The Town Council (ALL 13 MEMBERS) usually meet the first Monday in the month, except when it falls on a Bank Holiday or due to unforeseen circumstances.

 

The Regal and Entertainments Committee (MAX. 5 MEMBERS) meet every four to six weeks.

 

The Parks and Cemetery Committee (MAX. 5 MEMBERS) meet every four to six weeks.

 

Website and Communcations Committee (MAX. 5 MEMBERS) meet around every four to six weeks

 

The Planning Committee (MAX. 5 MEMBERS) meet every third Monday in the month or sometimes twice monthly if necessary.

 

Finance and Staffing Group (MAX. 5 MEMBERS and the TOWN CLERK)

 

Community Emergency Support Team (No Max)

 

All meetings are now held in The Pump rooms just off Teme Street, Tenbury Wells. Agendas for the meetings are displayed in the notice board outside the Pump Rooms off Teme Street.

 

Members of the public are invited to attend all meetings except those held in confidential session.It is to be noted that the public can only address the Council at the appropriate time allocated on the Agenda, which is currently from 7.15pm to 7.30pm at Full Council meetings only.

THE BURGAGE

 

Tennis Courts

The Burgage contains 3 all weather tennis courts.

Bowling Green

The Bowling Green is open from approximately the end of April to end of September (see prices and charges)

 

Children’s Playground

The playground is free of charge and open all year round.

 

Fishing

Anglers can fish in the Burgage for free at their own risk.

 

PALMERS MEADOW

 

Football Pitch and Rugby Pitch

The pitches are laid out at Palmers Meadow and are available for hire. Details are available from the Town Clerk.

 

PALMERS MEADOW CAR PARK

 

A large car park if available free of charge. Entrance is from either Kyrewood Road or via the District Council car park, off Teme Street.

The Regal

THE REGAL

The Grade 11 listed building in Teme Street is available for hire. Details are available from the Town Clerk. A new Wheelchair Access Lift has recently been installed and access is via the Community Centre.

If additional lighting is required (seperate charge please contact Steve Parker TELEPHONE NUMBER can be obtained from the Town Clerk) and an additional charge is made (see prices and Charges) for the extra electricity used.

 

COMMUNITY CENTRE

 

The Centre is situated behind the Regal in Church Walk off Teme Street and is available for hire. Toilet facilities for the Disabled have now been installed. Details are available from the Town Clerk
