Since the 2007 floods much work has been done by the Environment Agency to provide accurate data on river levels and risk of flooding. The Teme is a very fast flowing river and levels can rise and fall very quickly. Recent levels and peak flood points have been very accurately predicted by Environment Agency data but the possibility of freak weather conditions causing unforeseeable flash flooding will always remain.  Best to be prepared.  Make sure you have a flood plan for your home and that you know what to do to protect your loved ones and property in the event of a flood.
